What is eCitie?
This is an electronic revenue management system used by KCCA to manage and administer the revenue sources collected. It’s through which a person (City Operator) who wishes to transact business in Kampala registers with KCCA using the prescribed forms accessed at KCCA web portal (http://www.kcca.go.ug) or at any KCCA Division office. At the end of registration, the customer is issued with a Certificate with a unique number known as COIN (City Operator Identification Number) and subsequently makes a payment with the collecting agent (Bank or Telecom) of his choice. What is the purpose of a COIN?
A City Operator Identification Number is a 10 digit number used to uniquely identify the City Operator and all the revenue sources in which the City Operator is registered for example (Transport-Taxis, Property Rate, Trading License, etc.). What modes of payments are available?
The customer can pay through a Bank of his choice where KCCA has an account and that bank must be on the payment registration form. The payment can be effected using Cash, Cheque, Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT), Real Time Gross Settlement (RTGS), Demand Draft or Swift Transfer. The customer may also effect the payment through a telecom network of his choice provided it’s authorized by KCCA. All authorized collecting agents are listed on the payments registration form on KCCA web portal |
